Here are this week's features...

Joy's Life Tins - Lip Balm!

Happy Thursday!

I have a fun project to share with you today.

A lovely little gift, just right for a "Girl's Night Out" gift bag!

I used Joy's Life All Around Sentiment stamp set and
Carta Bella papers, My Mind's Eye lace,
I used my Cricut to cut out the circles & Nestie for the scallop.

Aren't these little tins so sweet, just the right size for sharing some home-made lip balm with friends!!  You can purchase them @ Joy's Life! A 2 inch circle fits perfectly atop the lid!! Check out what the rest of the design team has been creating all week with her various tins!

Here's the easy peasy recipe...

  • 1 tsp. coconut oil
  • 1 tsp. almond oil
  • ½ tsp. grated beeswax (or use pearls)
Directions:
Combine all the ingredients in a microwave-safe container and pop it in the microwave. In 1-2 minutes, the beeswax should melt, and that’s it! You just made your own lip balm.  Add a bit of lipstick for color, optional.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Blessings!

Lemonade Inspired, using CRI-Kit pens & Tim Holtz inks!

Sunday Greetings!

My Cricut Craft Room's Erica has gathered some creative Lemonade Lovers together for a fun hop, letting our love of this refreshing beverage inspire us!

Here are my projects...

I used Tim Holtz distress inks and my CRI-Kits black pen to
create this CAS card.

If life gives
you lemons...

Inside reads:

...make lemonade.

However,
make sure life
gives you
sugar & water
too
or your
lemonade's
gonna suck!

The lemons were drawn by my Cricut using
CRI-Kits black pen, the paper & ribbon were hand dyed

I used my CRI-kits glitter pen in my Cricut
to draw the top layer of my leaves.  The glitter
is fabulous IRL!!

We make a really simple recipe of lemonade.
Mix one cup of lemon juice & one cup of sugar into two quarts of water!  That's all, but it keeps us happy all summer long!

and don't forget the lemon squares!  Can you say too much powdered sugar?!  lol  yum!

So, if you're hopping with us today...
you should have arrived here from Amanda's amazing blog.
If you need to start at the beginning for all the details,

Your NEXT stop is the lovely Dena!

Ice Cream Cone album, Ice cream Sandwich Cake and GIVE AWAY!

Happy Weekend!

Summer is in full swing here in PA!  Hot, hazy & humid...let's enjoy some ice cream!

I've seen this sweet Ice Cream Cone Album all over Blogland and decided to give it a try!

My Mind's Eye papers (Blush)

8 inches high x 4.25 at the widest part!

This was super fast to make using my Cricut to cut the circles!
The cone is a circle cut @ 11 inches,
the ice cream is four circles cut @ 4.25 inches.

I scored the 11 inch circle into 8 even sections. Look at your open scored circle as a compass, with a north & south, east & west. Those are the lines we'll concentrate on.  Pull your east line in to meet your north line, then your south to meet your north and finally your west line to your north line. Now close all sections to one side & you have an album. Need a visual? Here's one by Virginia Nebel!

Won't this ice cream cone album be fun to finish with photos & embellishments?  Read on!

Here's a yummy recipe, an Ice Cream Sandwich Cake
crushed Oreos & cherries!
Want to make one?

You can use any type of pan, I used a loaf pan this time.
Place a layer of sandwiches on the bottom of the pan, I lined mine with wax paper for easy release!

Spread a thin layer of hot fudge.

Next layer, spread whipped cream (Cool Whip).
Repeat layers to fill your pan size!
Freeze for four hours!

Frost with more Cool Whip & Serve!
yum-O!

If you're hopping with us today, you should have arrived here from Ashley's blog!  If you need to start at the beginning for all the details, hop over to Joy's blog, Joy's Life!

Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.netGIVE AWAY!
Would you like my Ice Cream Cone album?
(I left it blank for you to fill & the tag is removable!)
Just leave a comment below to let me know you want your name put into the draw! I'll announce a winner next week.

Your next stop is Patty! Enjoy!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
