Swatch tags - Joy's Life!

Happy Friday!

Swatch tags, swatch booklets are all the rage...well, I've finally made one!  

I used  my Joy Life stamps. Now, I can just grab it when I'm looking for that perfect sentiment without pulling out all my stamps!  

SO convenient! 

The bottom of each swatch is edged with My Mind's Eye design papers and a title from my Dymo label maker!

I simply kept the stamps on their clear sheet, ran some temporary tape onto my Cuttlebug "C" mat (turning it into a clear stamping block), inked up my stamps with my Memento pad and stamped the swatch page!

Super fast & easy!

I even made tags for the sets I still need, so my collection will be complete!

A 5 minute birthday card!

Happy Wednesday!

I have a super simple 5 minute masculine birthday card to share today!

MME Lost & Found paper (x2)

(ETA: I used two pieces of the designer paper, one for my card & the other to cut out the sentiment from the paper!)

Ever have a friend call to let you know they're stopping by for a minute before heading out to an intimate birthday dinner with their spouse!   ah-huh!   ...of course I made you a birthday card!!!

Mini Album - paper hinge technique!

 I have a fun mini album to share today!

Cricut- Plantin Schoobook, My Quiet Book carts. Kraft cardstock Simple Stories papers October Afternoon wild cards Inspired by Misty Paper hinges!  This was a totally new technique for me, but oh-so-easy!!  I simply cut two 4x4 cards, butt-ed them together and attached paper 'hinges' over the front/back cover and over the seam in the middle of the book!  (It helps to score the hinges first.)  I'll certainly be using this method again! I have a bit of candy for one follower today! Just leave a comment below!

Vintage vase with Hand-made paper flower

I have a vintage home decor piece to share with you today using a hand-made paper flower.

Isn't this vase sweet...and somewhat romantic?! 

The flower was made with 9 layers of SU! vanilla cardstock cut with my Cricut using My Quiet Book cart.

Mini Tag Album

Happy Tuesday!

Today I want to share my first mini tag album made from a 12x12 pc of design paper.  

I'll probably embellish it a bit more but I wanted to show you the basic design!

The poetry cards are from a free digital collage sheets site

I based my cover on the new sketch Maya created

for our Digital Tuesday Challenge this week!!

The tags were created using a Spellbinders die (Label four).

I used this super simple technique!

The album itself is made from a 12x12 piece of double-sided

patterned paper. (K&Co) 

1. a full 12x12 sheet is folded in quarters & scored.
2. with the folds running vertical, fold the sheet in half horizontally
3. trim down to create pockets.
4. glue outer edges to secure. ( I ran a thin bead of glue along each of the score lines too)
5. the tags are cut at 2.5 inches wide. 

The length of the tag can be customized to fit your images, tall or short!

Circle Punch Flower!

Echo Park - Hello Summer papers

SU! circle & oval punches

I used my oval punch for the leaves & circle punches to create this fun flower!  I cut around the six circles randomly then snipped off bits here & there. Sponged the edges, used my stylus to score lines around each flower layer and finally a metal ball stylus to roll around inside them to lift them up a bit.  too fun!

A Shabby Chic Birdcage - from a bottle cap!!

Happy Friday!

As crafters, we see potential in almost everything!

Using a bottle cap, broken jewelry & some wire, I created a mini shabby chic birdcage!

stone textured paint by Krylon!

Inspired by Linda Peterson.

How fun is this?  I pounded some holes in my bottlecap, took some wire, bent it over & inserted it in the holes.  Covered the whole cage with Krylon textured paint, then embellished!

I created a 'hinge' with my string of pennants! It 'pops' out when the card is opened and folds down easily when the card is closed!

Friendship Week - gift bag!

Good Monday Morning!

Today I'm sharing a gift bag idea.  A simple way to add a little 'pretty' to those plain Dollar Store gift bags!

Circle sentiment from Joy's Life, 

Tag You're It set two stamp set!

I used double sided cardstock from

My Mind's Eye, Indie Chic "Ginger" 

paper pack!

Two sided flower tag...

You can use your Cricut to quickly cut circles from double-sided paper while you're stamping your sentiments!  I used my Nesties for my scallop cork circles.

Attach small circles (1inch) around large circle (2.5 inch) to create a flower, you'll create two flowers. Using 3D Dots (adhesive foam discs), attach the two flowers back to back, matching paper sides.  *We're using double sided paper so if they do not line up exactly, you are still seeing the same pattern.  You can see what I mean by looking at my above photos up close!

To attach to gift bag, tie twine between the flowers, around the center 3D Dot!
