Another DIY Gift Bag!

Happy Friday!

Here's a cute little gift bag made with one sheet of paper. (8.5" x 11" (inch))

I used some Stampin' Up designer paper.

Beate has a lovely tutorial for this bag here!

The circle sentiment is Joy's Life All Around Sentiment stamp set! I punched it out in layers & added red Stickles.

A paper doily, seambinding ribbon & a sparkly wee clothespin to "pretty-it-up" a bit!

Fill it with a gift card & some Hershey Kisses for a sweet Christmas treat!

Snowflakes - Distressed & Embossed (Technique)

Happy Tuesday!

We have a new challenge for you today
@ Digital Tuesday...it's a color challenge,
kraft, blue & white!

"Whenever a snowflake leaves the sky,

it turns and turns to say good-bye!"

Kraft cardstock, Tim Holtz distress ink (salty ocean),

SU! stamps (snowflake spot), white emb powder,

Versamark ink, computer-generated sentiment.

**Using distress ink & water with digis...

I used Tim Holtz distress ink & water to create the blue background.  I had already printed out the white cardstock with the sentiment on it, so to keep it "clean" while adding the color, I ran my Tombow removable tape runner over the words. After heat drying the background & then the embossed snowflakes, I simply rubbed off the removable tape.  cool, huh?

Explosion Box Hop!

Sunday Greetings!

Ashley has brought together a lovely group of ladies to showcase some explosion box ideas today.  

I had never made one and thought this was the perfect incentive to try it.  But, boy, when the time came to actually do it, I freaked! lol

So, here is my first attempt...

TCP Studio papers & elements.

I created a little stand to pop up my felt "surprise", and it folds up nicely when the box is closed!  I had quite a few revelations after making this design.  lots I could have done differently, but then I think that about all my designs!  :)

Slip a few dollars under the "Surprise" & this makes a fun birthday gift!
